Brief Description

The Sports Marina District is an energetic and youthful destination for water sports at Doha Port.

The redevelopment of Doha port offers a chance to capture its historical meaning and imagine new ways for the port to continue its contribution to the life and development of Doha and Qatar.

Its historical position at the heart of the city has played a crucial role in the growth of Doha from a small fishing village into a thriving city, boasting a dynamic business climate and a vibrant cultural life.

The port site is set in a thriving development context, with adjoining sites recently developed or set to undergo upgrades that promise to further enhance the port site’s local and international cultural significance. The past decade has indeed seen Doha’s growing ambition to promote culture and the arts by promoting innovative projects in the city.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) has selected and appointed Al Jaber Trading and Contracting Co. WLL to carry out in fulfilling this challenging yet captivating new landmark in the heart of Doha.

Water sports enthusiasts may hire a sail-boat, Jet-ski, or take sailing lessons at the club, which is housed within a container structure. Within the container Park, cafes and equipment stores provide the setting for a lively marina atmosphere. A boat yard offers amateurs and connoisseurs with an opportunity to purchase or service their boats.

The approximate site area within the plot limits is 56,663 m2 including offshore floating pontoons and boat handling items.

Service Zone – Consisting of service buildings, Fire Fighting Pump Room, Fire Fighting Tanks, Pump Rooms and water tanks.

Generator(s) and Electrical Substation.

Services such as Fuel Tanks & dispensers, Floating outlet, floating pontoon, Boats berthing pontoon system, Ramps and boat lift crane(s).
